JOBS - COOK

 We are on the hunt for a Cook!

We are looking to expand our venues’ food offerings, so we’re seeking a cook to help us with daily food preparation, baking, food service, and other odd jobs that support our front of house operations at our city café, Villino Coffee. This role would suit someone looking for shorter shifts that may help facilitate extra curriculars like study, or being available for school pick ups and drop offs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Passionate about delivering high quality food and hospitality service
  • 1+ years of cafe or food preparation experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well in a team as well as independently
  • Available to work a minimum of four days a week, ideally five days
  • Enjoys a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:
    - Assembling daily sandwiches and snacks to fill our cabinet
    - Preparing ingredients used in our sandwiches
    - Baking cookies, cakes, and other sweet treats for our cabinet
    - Heating and plating pastries to order
    - Maintaining a tidy and organised kitchen
    - Working with our café leadership team to manage inventory and par levels to meet demand
    - Supporting our front of house staff by helping with order taking, table clearing, and  running food and drinks when needed
    - Bringing good vibes

POTENTIAL HOURS / AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

This role would best suit someone looking for 15-20 hours a week. We are looking for someone able to work 4-5 days a week, for four hour shifts between approximately 8:30am-12:30pm. This could be any combination of days between Monday and Saturday, to best suit your schedule.

Having a driver’s license would be advantageous, as we may look to build out this role in future to include transferring prepared food to our Moonah café, Wondr.

This is a casual position, with opportunities for growth for the right candidate.
